As an independent insurance agent, specializing in Medicare insurance, I eat, breathe and sleep Medicare. Medicare is easy; get a skilled broker as your professional partner to guide you to proper coverage- THAT’S IT! Don’t overcomplicate it. Don’t fight it. If we shop for the cheapest drug plan for you, that’s what it is. There’s not a lot of options on those and we don’t make the plans. Heck, if you want to do it yourself, go to the medicare website’s plan site and do it. It’s easy. You may not like the results, but that’s part D and pharma. If you are smart and you want a pro, use a broker. We are free. If you interview and select a true professional, he/she will make sure you and your family have confidence and dignity when you need your coverage. I have a bio degree and a law degree and I’ve been doing this for 8 years. I think I’m qualified. Rant over.
Ok, what I really want to write about, just for myself as my own personal blog, since nobody reads blogs about Medicare anyways is what is important. For me, it is family. Sometimes this becomes crystal clear in little moments. Sometimes in crisis. Sometimes at a kids event. Sometimes it’s when I read something. Sometimes it’s when I hear music. Today, it’s music. I heard a song in the background while watching American Idol. I hunted down the song for nearly an hour and then found it. Not only is it musically touching to me, but the lyrics are all about family. It’s really a modern day Father and Son- another one of my favorite songs. Say no more Dave, here it is: https://youtu.be/vMPVL3YFNQU?si=9so4zz0-baHuwilZ
In case the link dies, the song is Hummingbird by Tyler Burkum. Wow! Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Close your eyes. Listen. Thinking and letting my mind wander is one of my favorite things in life and honestly where I get the most done.
